Description

  • Are your unique cell lines, antibodies or software tools in demand?
  • Are you inundated with requests to supply these to others?
  • Are you developing the next generation of techniques and tools that researchers will need to advance the biosciences?

Then come along to Edinburgh Research and Innovation's workshop on the 15th May to find out how we can help you turn today’s research tools into tomorrow’s life science products.

About the workshop
This workshop is an opportunity for University staff
to learn about the potential knowledge exchange and funding opportunities that exist in the tools and resources you develop in the course of your research.

The workshop will:

  • Highlight the potential value of these research assets

  • Demonstrate ways in which ERI can help achieve effective distribution through licenses with reagents companies

  • Learn from leading life sciences company Merck Millipore about how they develop new products and what reagents and tools are on their wish list

  • Find out from the BBSRC what funding schemes are available to support the development of new tools and technologies in the biosciences

  • Hear from local SME Fios Genomics about the commercial opportunities in bioinformatics tools

‘Bring Your Ideas To Life’ competition
We are also launching an exciting new competition, in partnership with Merck Millipore. Submit your product idea for a chance to win the opportunity to have your research tool turned into a new product by Merck Millipore.
